Volunteers carry a restored antique couch into the McCown-Mangum house in the West Point on the Eno park in Durham. The Orange Factory Quester Chapter was awarded a grant of $1,738 to use in their restoration work at the house. Quester members received the grant from North Carolina state president, Jan Richmond, during a fund-raiser luncheon at a members home where another $2,470 was raised. To date four valuable antiques have been restored and more work is being evaluated as part of their commitment to this Durham landmark. Questers is a not-for-profit International organization founded in 1944 to promote historical preservation and art conservation. It has hundreds of chapters throughout the United States and Canada.
