
The Keokuk Union Depot Commission and Foundation are another step closer to their goal of renovating a historic Keokuk landmark, thanks to a $14,500 check from two local Questers International chapters.
On May 13, the Maw-Waiquois and Kalawequois chapters of Questers presented the depot group with a $6,000 grant, plus $8,500 raised during an art and antique auction in September 2013.
“The depot commission and foundation are overwhelmed by the generosity of both Questers groups,” said Debbie Marion, commission chair. “Their initiative in helping us save this grand old lady is just amazing to me.”
