Portrait of will rogers
Through the guidance of the Oklahoma Arts Council and a generous grant from the Oklahoma State QUESTERS board, we were able to fund the restoration of the last known portrait of Will Rogers. The painting was completed a few months before his death by renowned artist Boris B. Gordon in 1934. The painting hangs in the Oklahoma Senate Lounge and is a true treasure belonging to the people of Oklahoma. The Cimarron Chapter #1195 and the Oklahoma QUESTERS State Board have dedicated their time and resources to preserving the art belonging to the people of Oklahoma and the enjoyment of all visitors to our State Capitol.
