Preserving History: Restoring the Historic Briggs House in North Olmsted, Ohio

The story of the Briggs House began in the 1800s, when the Briggs family journeyed from Guilford, Vermont, to settle in Ohio. After initially residing in a humble cabin, the family constructed the homestead that stands today. The historic property remained in the family for over 130 years before being entrusted to the Olmsted Historical Society for future generations to enjoy.

This rich heritage holds special significance for Questers chapter David R. Bain #1491, as one of our own chapter members is a direct descendant of the Briggs family. To support the continued preservation of this local landmark, our chapter is proud to announce that we received an

International Grant to assist with restoring the building’s roof, ensuring the Briggs House stands strong for years to come.
