Virginia: Merci Train Project

Members of Robert E. Lee #60 in Virginia pose with retractable banners about the Friendship Train and the Merci Train on display at the Loudon County Library where their September 2026 meeting was held. In addition to the photos and text, each banner has a QR code to connect visitors to the Questers website. The banners have already been displayed in Fredericksburg, VA and will move to other libraries in Virginia in the coming months. The banners were funded with a Historic Preservation Grant from Questers International, matched by Chapter funds. 

Quester Jo MacMichael did an outstanding job as the project manager for this Merci Train Grant project.  Several members of the chapter attended the unveiling of a new exhibit about the Merci Train at the Virginia War Museum.  The museum was very helpful in providing information for the banners.
