Ohio: Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens

January Thaw Sand Run, a 1931 painting by Gertrude Seiberling, wife of F. A. Seiberling, co-founder of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, has been beautifully restored through a generous grant from THE QUESTERS and the fundraising efforts of the Gertrude Seiberling #1522. The conservators at ICA Art Conservation professionally repaired lost sections of paint and removed decades of surface grime to preserve this local treasure. This work of art depicting our beloved Sand Run stream now hangs in a new place of honor above the fireplace of the Morning Room at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, a National Historic Landmark.  Stan Hywet Hall, a 65-room manor house in Akron, Ohio, is the sixth-largest historic estate in the United States, welcoming over 100,000 guests each year.
