June 1st, 2025
Convention full of fun and successes
The 2025 Questers International Convention at the Inn at Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN, brought together over 80 Questers and guests for more than three days of camaraderie and important organizational business.
The Council Meeting on Wednesday, May 20, was bookended by two days of touring some of Nashville’s many historical sites. Starting on Tuesday, May 19, with a bus tour to the Tennessee State Museum, which features tableaus, displays, and videos covering the geological beginnings of the area, through the history of the first indigenous peoples and tribes, early Anglo Saxon settlements, slavery, the Civil War, and all the eras that followed, it provided the perfect historical basis for subsequent tours of The Hermitage, President Andrew Jackson’s home, and on Thursday, May 21, of The Belmont Mansion, and President James K. Polk’s home.
The dining opportunities spanned a range from lunches at Nashville’s Farmers Market and the Assembly Food Hall to dinner with live entertainment at Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen, culminating in a dinner cruise aboard the General Jackson Showboat.
Annual reports from international officers, chairs, and special committees were presented at the Council Meeting on May 21, followed by reports from 20 chartered and five unchartered states.
