Welcome to Mr. Lincoln’s Hometown

Come to Illinois in May! Come, and experience Midwestern hospitality in the town Lincoln loved. Visit the only home the Lincolns ever owned; walk where Lincoln walked and where his children played. Come, and visit the Old State Capitol Building, where Lincoln gave his “House Divided” speech. See history come alive at the state-of-the-art Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, and don’t miss the other attractions of this historic city which has been called “a monument to the prairie lawyer.” We’ll have fun exploring parts of Route 66 on its 100th anniversary, and at New Salem State Park, in the restored village where Lincoln accidentally settled as a young man. Take a picture with Mr. Lincoln and enjoy musical evenings - one from the musical “Abraham!”, and one of Route 66 malt shop tunes. (Bring that poodle skirt!) 

The event, taking place from May 13 to 17, 2026, at the Springfield Abraham Lincoln DoubleTree Hotel, promises four full days of learning, shopping, touring, and dining with Questers from across the country and beyond.
