The Questers support of education- Scholarship and Fellowship
Education is a major advocacy for Questers. Through member donations, The Questers annually fund a two-year, $17,000, scholarship to a graduate student earning a Master of Science Degree in Preservation and Restoration at Columbia University and a three-year, $40,000, fellowship to a graduate student earning a Master of Science Degree in Art Conservation at University of Delaware/Winterthur. After the candidates are accepted into the respective programs, resumes and application forms are sent to International Executive Board for the final selection.
THE QUESTERS SUPPORT OF EDUCATION - STATE MEETINGS, SEMINARS AT INTERNATIONAL CONVENTIONS AND PROGRAMS AT LOCAL CHAPTERS
The highlight of State Meetings are the mini lyceums. These programs introduce us to a variety of subjects from “Chicken Feed Linens” to “Fore-Edge Painting on Book Edges.” Educational seminars are also a major part of the International Conventions. At chapter meetings, the focus is on programs that vary from collections of members, a knowledgeable guest speaker, or a tour of a local historical landmark.
