QUESTER QUARTERLY: Available under the Members > Newsletter > Quester Quarterly Tab
2019 FOUNDER'S AWARD TOPIC:
"Those Magnificent Hotels and The Railroads That Built Them"
Entries should be sent to International Headquarters, postmarked by March 1, if sent via USPS, or received by 11:50 p.m. EST on March 1, if emailed. Entries that are sent hard copy (via mail) should be addressed to: Founder's Award Entry, The Questers, 210 Quince Street, Philadelphia, PA 10107-5534. Electronic copies (.pdf format) should be submitted to the office administrator at firstname.lastname@example.org. The Office Administrator will review each entry, remove all indications of the author's identity, and give each entry a code before sending it to the Founder's Award Committee Chairman for review by the Reading Committee.
Founder's Award papers are prepared following the same guidelines as study papers. The winner of Founder’s Award is selected by an anonymous committee; the chairman is appointed by the International President. The papers are read and scored, and winners are announced at the International Convention luncheon. Besides the framed certificate and engraved silver plate, the author's name and the title of the winning study paper is entered (in calligraphy) in a leather-bound book at Headquarters for all visitors to see.
Complete rules are available on the Members > Resources > Founder's Award tab or by contacting the office administrator, JoAnn Longo, at email@example.com or by phone at 215-923-5183.
The current issue of State/Province Newsletters are posted under the Members tab > Newsletter > State Newsletters. Remember to send us a .pdf copy of your latest newsletter, so it can be posted for other Questers to read.
Under the Members tab, Questers have access to the directory of International Officers, information on governance (policies and bylaws), newsletters (links to Quester Quarterly and state newsletters), and program resources (study papers available for download, information on submitting a Founder's Award paper, Quester's program library, PowerPoint presentations and publicity tools). Under the Chapters page, Questers have access to a chapter handbook, chapter job descriptions, a program handbook and a chapter program yearbook (available to download and to use as an example). The Marketplace page includes information on Questers jewelry and stationery items. The information on the FAQ tab is added to regularly.
